How can we inform the Parish Walk participants to be more weary with their waste?
The Parish Walk is an annual event in the Isle of Man where participants walk a 85-mile route around the island. With thousands of people participating, waste management becomes a significant challenge, and there is a need to inform participants to be more mindful of their waste. IFGL was Parish Walk 2022 sustanability partner and we had the responsibility to inform the participants about how we can tackle this problem.
Solution:
As a designer working for IFGL, I created a video to promote the sustainability partnership between IFGL and the Parish Walk. To create the video, I followed a comprehensive process from concept sketch to storyboard, digital illustration to final animation. I used several software tools such as Mila Notes for storyboards, Windows Surface for rough sketches, Adobe Illustrator for final illustrations, After Effects for animation, and Premier Pro for final editing.
The video communicated the importance of responsible waste management during the Parish Walk and provided practical tips to participants on how to reduce waste. The video also showcased the partnership between IFGL and the Parish Walk and how both organizations are committed to promoting sustainability.

The video was shared on social media platforms and was played at the start of the Parish Walk. The video received positive feedback from the participants, and many expressed their commitment to reducing waste during the event. The video also helped to increase awareness of the sustainability partnership between IFGL and the Parish Walk.
